Purpose
The purpose of the Tooling Technician role is to support both onshore and offshore operations by assembling, testing, maintaining, and operating TSC’s Subsea robotic inspection tools—such as the NodeScanner, MagCrawler, and ARTEMIS—as well as integrating these tools with ROV systems. The role involves preparing and packing equipment for subsea inspection campaigns, performing basic fault finding and repairs, and assisting in the fabrication of parts under supervision. The technician will be trained in the use of TSC’s Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) technologies, including ACFM, PEC, ART, and PA, while also gaining a solid understanding of NDE technologies and developing mechanical, electrical, and fabrication skills to support routine operational requirements
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensuring readiness of TSC’s subsea robotic tooling and NDT systems required for offshore campaigns. This includes testing, fault finding, repairing, calibration and fabrication of equipment and parts, as well as ordering spares, reporting problems and improvements to engineers.
- General assembly of prototype tooling from engineering drawings, logging issues and faults and implementing fixes
- Maintain equipment use traceability logs, packing lists verification on shipping and receiving stage, spare parts consumption.
- Travel as part of a team, be self-sufficient and organized in pre-job preparation, execution and post job activities including reporting and job file completion.
- Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.
- Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
- Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems of the Company.
- Eliminate waste of whatever form, suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment

Qualifications & requirements
- Must be proficient in spoken and written English
- Practical experience of working with tools to assemble and disassemble mechanical and electrical systems is desirable. A willingness to learn and get hands dirty is essential for maintaining NDT and robotic tooling
- Experience with the general operations of a warehouse and its staff, including handling the recording and maintaining of inventory.
- Experience with the use of workshop tools including drill presses, hydraulic benders, lathe, mill, TIG welding would be beneficial (training will be provided)
- Computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and 3D packages (e.g., CAD)
