**WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER**:
The External Affairs Associate III (“TFA Jurisdictional Engagement Lead”), will lead the engagement of key stakeholders in key jurisdictions in Brazil and support interaction among jurisdictional initiatives in Latin America and other regions, as a core element of the TFA global strategy of supporting private sector actors to remove deforestation from commodity supply chains through public-private collective action at the landscape and jurisdictional levels. She/he will work with jurisdictional initiatives prioritized by TFA in engaging subnational governments, businesses, and Civil Society entities at all levels to promote and monitor landscape and jurisdictional initiatives and regional platforms, through corporate actions and/or agreements and policies related to TFA’s mission, and represent TFA before special interest groups, engaging key public and private officials to increase support for jurisdictional and regional platforms.
Essential functions comprise working to the purpose of engaging a North-South and Regional collaboration in developing innovative solutions for TFA prioritized jurisdictional initiatives, having Pará and Mato Grosso in Brazil as main hubs. The Lead will engage and build partnerships with the private sector for mapping a portfolio of possibilities to deforestation and conversion free (DCF) commodity production, bioeconomy, and carbon offsetting development through joint and collaborative actions with impact in key jurisdictions.

An energetic, dynamic, initiative person with the ability to manage complex projects and lead the TFA jurisdictional strategy in Brazil, promoting dialogue and exchange around jurisdictional initiatives supported by TFA in Latin America and with other jurisdictional initiatives at a global levelWe hope that you will be able to facilitate interactions within TNC and other key actors, TFA LATAM and global teams structuring institutional arrangements that promote the alignment and channelling of global and local private actions.. We hope that you will be able to interact with multidisciplinary teams, listen to experience, expectations and technical approaches, and that you will be able to support teams in translating these approaches and projects into leading the systemic approach and strategic view that collaborates to map and propose North-South connections fostering a hub of projects or methodologies that have the same goals to the Amazon sustainable development, so that we can have an even greater impact on conservation in Brazil.
**Responsibilities & Scope**:
- Follow our Code of Conduct and demonstrate consistently our Values.
- Leading the TFA jurisdictional strategy in Brazil and promoting regional dialogues and exchanges around jurisdictional initiatives supported by TFA in Latin America and with other jurisdictional initiatives at a global level.
- Engagement, planning and convening of meetings, coordinating strategic studies and communication workflows as representative for TFA around jurisdictional initiatives.
- Mapping strategic opportunities, proposing and structuring projects and partnerships that mobilize resources and investment opportunities that support and add value to the jurisdictional action plans from existing Platforms (e.g., Territórios Sustentáveis, Parceiros Pela Amazonia, Amazon Challenge, Amazon Origin Sustainable Cocoa, among others).
- Facilitate interactions within TNC and other key actors, TFA LATAM and Global teams, 1T.org and other relevant WEF’s Center for Nature and Climate programs and strategies related to the Private Sector engagement, innovative solutions for efficient networks to jurisdictional performance in Pará, Mato Grosso and other key jurisdictions in the region.
