**Your Role and Responsibilities**

'Ensure that technical modifications do not adversely affect database integrity, stability and system availability.
- Implementing solutions for DB2 database backup and recovery infrastructure
- Assist in Backup and Recovery operations including Disaster Recovery planning.
- Build operational Operations and Maintenance (O&M) checklists to maintain the service (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly O&M checklists);
- Build Tactics, Techniques and Processes (TTPs) and Standard Operating Processes (SOPs) associated with service checklists.
- Ensure proactive engagement in Incident Management process, working with cross-functional teams to minimize the impact of database outages
- Perform/translate the Data Model design into Physical objects.
- Manage database objects like tablespace, user, table, Index, roles, privileges, profiles, DB Links, materialized views, partitioning, synonyms, sequences, views and indexes and other database objects etc
- Drive performance & tuning, monitoring the performance using tools.

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Proven and hands-on experience with DB2 LUW
- Experience in planning of complex activities and execution of technical solution on DB2.
- Proven experience with Data Modelling
- Hands-on experience with creating/maintaining/optimizing a database
- Proficient in Performance Tuning, defining Stored Procedure & triggers
- Proficient in installation, configuration and upgrading environments
- Strong communication skills to technical, functional, and development team
- Ability to craft and alter of DB2 object according to custom's requirement (Ex: Database, Table space, Table, Index, etc)
- Experience with running Reorgs and Runstats, Backup and Recovery of Table spaces (copy & recover), Repair, Load/Unload utilities,
- Ability to provide Grants to users for appropriate groups/authorities, familiar with DB2 privileges.

**Preferred Technical and Professional Experience**
- Experience with shell scripts development
- Experience using IBM Infosphere DataStage
- Jira
- Microsoft Visio
