In this role, you'll acquire, clean, and analyze large data sets and do exploratory analysis to understand our data and if it meets project requirements. It's more than digits and dials - you're making huge decisions that impact millions of customers.

Every day you'll work with multiple stakeholders to identify, design, develop and implement advanced analytics projects that track the consumer conversion funnel from start to end. You'll work with your team to provide, interpret, and predict necessary metrics for decision-making. You'll code with machine learning tools like Python, R, and Scala to synthesize millions of data sets into patterns that answer ad hoc requests and then use Tableau for data visualization.

To thrive in this development career, you'll need to be an expert in Java programming language used in backend architecture. You'll need to be familiar of software development at scale, including knowledge of cloud services, relational databases, Elasticsearch, Redis, DynamoDB and best practices and microservice architectures, you are an enthusiastic creator eager to learn and take on stretch assignments. You strive to learn new technologies and find ways to incorporate what you learn into building your products.

**WHAT YOU'LL DO**:
**Here's what you can expect on a typical day**:

- **Advanced Analytics & Predictive Modeling.** You bring prior experience to the role of formulating analytical problems, extracting & analyzing data from multiple systems, summarizing critical findings/insights, and developing a compelling visual representation of analyses with actionable recommendations-this will set you up for success on Day 1.
- **Own and Manage Projects. **You will identify, design, develop, and implement advanced analytical projects.
- **Collaboration and Communication. **You'll be part of a collaborative team, listening to needs, then finding and sharing solutions. You're comfortable and skilled at presenting to both peers and leadership on your projects and findings.
- **Experience**: You need good experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.

**TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE**:

- You'll have a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent.
- Prior experience that would give you extra comfort in the role includes:

- Proficiency in Java/JEE technologies, jQuery, JSON, Angular, Mulesoft, Kafka
- Hands-on experience with Springboot and Spring integrations
- RDBMS and NoSQL databases such as Mongo or DynamoDB
- GIT, Jenkins, Ansible, Public Cloud (AWS or Azure)
- ETL process (Extract, transform and load) with best practices and tools
- Distributed computing tools such as Hadoop, Hive, or Spark; Oracle, Mongo; data visualization tools like Tableau will give you extra comfort in this role to be successful.
- Responsible for working with and understanding the various elements of data both internal and external to the organization and its clients.
- Explores the usage pattern and help with profiling the data from sources. Assists in mapping to a conforming model, work with business groups to help build that model, and eventually be expected to assist in governing the model.
- Works with product groups to understand existing data, and works towards cleansing and conforming that data
- Understands the business logic behind the various HR calculations, and assists in creating new standard calculations for the organization
- Expected to be results-oriented, have knowledge of new and legacy technologies, have knowledge of the relevant platforms and environments, and be familiar with business process, functions and data within their domain to provide innovative, insightful, and secure solutions.
- Availability to work in a hybrid work model, reporting directly to our Porto Alegre Office location.
