About The Role
The Market and Liquidity Risk team is responsible for ensuring that these financial risks are framed within our risk appetite, driving our strategy, and actively participating in the management of the company's balance sheet. We work in close collaboration with business areas, participating in strategic decisions and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
This is a vital position to ensure that Nubank effectively manages risks, while remaining committed to the mission of reinventing financial services. You will play an essential role in connecting your technical knowledge and pricing and risk methodologies to strategic decisions, by keeping the focus on relevant risks and directly influencing our ability to offer increasingly better services to our customers.
You'll Be Responsible For
- Fair value modeling and exposure calculation: acting in the pricing of financial instruments to maintain correct accounting records and enable the calculation of risk exposures and inform decisions strategically.
- Metric calculation and reporting: developing and reporting market and liquidity risk metrics efficiently, reducing operational costs related to the risk management process
- Data quality monitoring: ensuring that all data used in the calculation process is accurate and consistent.
- Regulatory requirements: complying with the regulatory requirements of the countries in which Nubank operates, maintaining our commitment to compliance.
- Interaction with business areas: collaborating with product and treasury areas to implement new instruments and products, evaluating their impacts in terms of risk exposure
- Procedure and documentation development: creating and maintaining documents that reinforce the robustness of our market and liquidity risk management structure.
We Are Looking For a Person Who Has
- Experience in financial risk management: ability to analyze and mitigate risks efficiently and innovatively. We are looking for someone who not only understands the functioning of the financial market and risk measures (VaR, IRRBB, LCR, NSFR), but also questions traditional practices, challenging the status quo to obtain increasingly smarter solutions connected to business management.
- Ownership and agency over the topics: ability to take responsibility for your career and the results of your work, in addition to influencing risk management processes, so that they are always aligned with our high standards of excellence and integrity.
- Customer focus: developing risk strategies that ensure the safety and trust of our customers and other stakeholders.
- Technical mastery and knowledge of prudential regulation: extensive contact with Basel and IFRS standards; proactivity to be one step ahead, ensuring that our practices are always aligned with the state of the art.
- Collaboration and team spirit: working in synergy with various teams, leveraging the diversity of perspectives to enrich our risk management strategies.
- Programming and use of current tools: experience in the use of analytical and quantitative tools; focus on more current languages and paradigms used for data analysis and modeling of prices and risks. Your knowledge must be aligned with our commitment to quality in implementation and efficiency through technology.
