At PROTECT IT we utilize our expertise to help organizations build resilient controls on their networks and in their processes in order to maintain Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability. Managed Cybersecurity Services include Pen testing, Incident Management, Patch Management, Endpoint Security, Compliance Management, Supplier Management, Awareness Training, Remote Security Monitoring, and Risk Management. We establish strong engagements with our clients to ensure that we deliver to their expectations. We are looking for a full-time remote cybersecurity Engineer to manage security for our US client. An exciting opportunity for a qualified security professional to apply their technical cybersecurity expertise to a leading Legal client in the US. In this hands-on security engineering role, you will apply your advanced knowledge and experience of security infrastructure management.
Nature of Engagement: Contract & Remote
Monthly Salary: USD 2,500
Background Check: To be carried out before engagement can commence
A. Core Security Operations
§ Monitoring of all security tools (VPN, ESET, Knowbe4, Windows Defender and cloud)
§ User onboarding and offboarding
§ Creation and maintenance of laptop golden images
§ Ensuring that patching is maintained on laptops
§ Incident Response and escalation
§ Mobile Device Management (MDM) for laptops, smartphones, and tablets
§ Management of Asset Inventory
§ Creating and managing a list of all assets
§ Supplier Management
§ Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Management
§ Management of Azure, Microsoft 365, and defender
§ Security customer support
B. Web & Application Security
§ Assisting with the installation and Management of a Web Application Firewall (WAF)
§ Website Vulnerability Scanning (monthly) and patching recommendations
§ Ensuring that the website developers are securing website plugins
§ Familiarity with API and infrastructure development and OWASP
C. Identity & Access Management
§ Ensuring Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is enforced by default
§ Managing Privileged Access
§ Monitoring and responding to Microsoft 365 alerts
§ Assisting with migration to Microsoft E-5 licensing
D. Governance, Risk & Compliance
§ Quarterly Risk Assessments & Reporting
§ Maintenance of risk register
§ Assistance towards client achieving ISO27001 and SOC2
