This Position reports to:

Segment Manager

ABB is looking for an Application Consultant – Drives & PLC to join the Drive Products team within the Motion division, which offers solutions in variable frequency drives, PLCs, and HMIs, promoting energy efficiency and industrial automation worldwide. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the sales team and customers, connecting ABB products to real application needs and ensuring alignment with technical specifications.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the sales team to develop technical solutions and application packages, influencing the market to adopt specifications aligned with ABB standards, and strengthening the brand's technical positioning;
  • Identifying business opportunities and proactively engaging in prospecting and networking;
  • Conducting technical training sessions for customers, distributors, OEMs, and engineering companies to ensure a solid understanding of ABB's solutions;
  • Understanding customer needs and demonstrating how ABB solutions can meet them;
  • Participating in technical presentations and demos to highlight the value of ABB offerings;
  • Supporting the preparation of commercial proposals and assisting in contract negotiations.

Requirements:

  • Completed technical or technological degree (Electrical, Electronics, Automation, or Mechatronics). A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is a plus;
  • Experience in the application and programming of low-voltage variable frequency drives;
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Brazil (estimated at 60% of the time);
  • Valid category B driver's license for travel and customer visits.

Desirable qualifications:

  • Previous experience in technical-commercial activities;
  • Experience working with distributors, machine builders, panel builders, and end users;
  • Intermediate English.
