Salary: €50,000 – €55,000 per year depending on experience

Essential Requirements

  • Trade-certified Vehicle Mechanic (mandatory)
  • Recognised Master Technician qualification (Hybrid/EV systems — Kia/Hyundai or equivalent OEM preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in a dealership or OEM workshop environment
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Willingness to relocate to Ireland

Job Overview

We're seeking an experienced Hybrid Vehicle Technician to carry out advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on hybrid and electric vehicles to manufacturer standards. While Kia/Hyundai expertise is preferred, we welcome applicants with equivalent OEM hybrid/EV experience. The role also involves mentoring junior technicians and contributing to a high-performing workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on hybrid and electric vehicles to OEM standards
  • Use manufacturer diagnostic systems, technical bulletins, and service information
  • Complete warranty and recall work with full documentation
  • Carry out ADAS calibration, software updates, coding, and programming
  • Road-test and verify repairs; complete job cards, VHCs, and service records
  • Maintain a safe, compliant, and organised workshop environment
  • Mentor apprentices and junior technicians; share best practices

Qualifications

  • Trade-certified Vehicle Mechanic
  • Hybrid/EV Master Technician certification (Kia/Hyundai or equivalent OEM preferred)
  • High-Voltage (e.g., IMI Level 3) and F-Gas/Air-Con certifications (desirable)
  • Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in a dealership or OEM workshop

Key Skills

  • Expert in hybrid/EV diagnostics and fault-finding (electrical, CAN bus, battery systems)
  • Proficiency with OEM diagnostic platforms and digital service tools
  • High attention to detail with a right-first-time repair approach
  • Strong communication and mentoring skills

Relocation to Ireland

This position is based in County Kerry, Ireland. Applicants from Brazil and other international locations are welcome, provided they are ready to relocate. Full guidance and support will be provided throughout the relocation and work permit process.
