Azure / Microsoft Architect - Technology Evangelist

Position overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Azure/Microsoft Technology Evangelist to join our team. This pivotal role will focus on championing Microsoft Azure technologies and best practices, driving adoption within our organization and among clients, and fostering a strong community around Microsoft cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will be a passionate advocate for cloud computing, capable of inspiring and educating diverse audiences.
Responsibilities
- Act as a primary advocate for Azure technologies and best practices, both internally and externally
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and media engagements, delivering compelling presentations and demonstrations
- Develop and disseminate best practices, architectural principles, and operational guidelines for Azure and related technologies
- Contribute to building and growing the internal Azure Community of Practice
- Stay updated with the latest Azure advancements, innovations, and trends, and advocate for their adoption
- Collaborate with engineering teams on proofs of concept (PoCs), deployments, performance optimizations, and key component implementations
- Support pre-sales activities by offering expertise and technical guidance for critical opportunities
- Provide consultancy to internal teams and lead engagements with key clients, including Well-Architected Reviews and Solution Designs
- Engage with Microsoft and technical partners to advance our Microsoft partnership
- Work towards achieving various Microsoft partner recognitions and certifications to validate organizational expertise in Microsoft technologies
- Collaborate with marketing teams to launch new service offerings built on Azure technologies
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of Azure, with recent hands-on experience in designing and implementing Azure solutions
- Deep understanding of cloud computing, infrastructure as code (IaC), DevOps practices, and related technologies
- Proficiency in the complete software development life cycle, from design to deployment
- Proven development and solution design experience using Microsoft .Net technology stack and other programming languages like Java, Python, TypeScript
- Deep understanding of computer science, including algorithms and data structures
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to communicate a vision, inspire teams, and motivate stakeholders
- Strategic thinking capabilities, aligning technology decisions with business goals and growth objectives
- Strong problem-solving skills, an action-oriented mindset, and a sense of ownership
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including strong presentation abilities
- In-depth understanding of Microsoft's partner programs, incentives, and resources, with a proven track record of leveraging these for mutual benefit
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert)
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with diverse groups of professionals
- Familiarity with competing cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP
