Position Overview
As a Director, Retail Media, your role will involve leading and managing the retail media team in LATAM to deliver effective and innovative solutions that optimize client budgets across retail marketplaces. You will be responsible for driving the retail communication objectives and strategic direction for a variety of Mindgruve accounts in LATAM.

This role will report to the VP of Global Media and will oversee the LATAM Search Advertising & Programmatic Advertising teams and collaborate with global teams in US, Mexico, and Europe to explore cross-border opportunities. This role will work closely with the VP of Global Media to develop innovative strategies and drive inter-connectivity across the entire Retail Media & Commerce ecosystem for new and existing clients.

What You'll Do Here

  • Team development & management.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients by understanding their business needs.
  • Develop strong/ innovative retail media strategies for LATAM clients based on their specific needs.
  • Develop, write, present and oversee execution of media strategies.
  • Macro level analysis of current and historical campaigns.
  • Write and present strategies, assessments and reports for internal teams and clients.
  • Vet vendors and media tools, stay on top of industry trends, and share knowledge with internal team and clients.
  • Manage planning and buying, including holistic plans that may involve self-serve programmatic platform(s), paid search, and paid social for some clients and/or campaigns.
  • Deep understanding of retail marketplaces (Amazon, Mercado Libre, etc).
  • Manage media budgets, pacing, and tracking to ensure complete delivery while reaching client goals and KPIs.

We Need a Person With

  • A 4-year college degree and 10+ years of media planning and/or buying experience (with at least three years of online experience).
  • Working comprehension of strategy development and required media math.
  • Experience across various mediums preferred (Retail Media (Amazon, Mercado Libre), Digital, Broadcast, OOH) with at least one of those being in a supervisory capacity.
  • Required experience with Amazon, Mercado Libre.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and organizational skills to manage and prioritize team daily workflow.
  • Familiarity with Campaign Manager 360 or comparable ad serving technology, optional.
  • Working knowledge of media research tools to inform media recommendations (IMS, GWI, MRI, Nielsen, ComScore, Simmons, etc.), optional.
  • Understanding of paid search, paid social, retail & programmatic media capabilities.
  • Ability to develop thorough, insightful campaign analysis and optimization recommendations.
  • Experience overseeing the budgeting process.
  • Ability to interpret data and position insights and stories for executives and clients.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong interpersonal/professional relationships with vendors, clients, etc.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once in a high-pressure environment while still meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
  • Proficient / Fluent English and Spanish speaker.
