The Neurovascular Patterning Laboratory at the Azrieli Research Center, CHU Sainte-Justine, affiliated with the Université de Montréal, invites applications for fully funded PhD and postdoctoral positions in neurovascular biology. Successful candidates will join Dr. Alexandre Dubrac's research group to investigate the mechanisms underlying endothelial cell biology in the brain and retina, with a particular emphasis on neurovascular patterning, arteriovenous malformations, perinatal hypoxia, and related neurological disorders.

The research employs advanced methodologies including transgenic mouse models, high-resolution imaging (confocal microscopy), and single-cell/spatial transcriptomics to elucidate vascular development and disease processes.

Requirements
PhD Candidates:

– Master's degree in Molecular/Cellular Biology, Physiology, Neuroscience, or a related discipline

– Research Experience In Vascular Biology Or Neuroscience Preferred
– Willingness to work with mouse models (genotyping and care; training provided)

– Familiarity with laboratory techniques such as cell culture, immunohistochemistry, PCR, and western blotting

– Strong motivation, organizational skills, and effective communication in English

– Willingness to apply for scholarships and participate in scientific conferences

Postdoctoral Fellows
– PhD in Molecular/Cellular Biology, Physiology, Vascular Biology, Neuroscience, or a closely related field

– Demonstrated research excellence with first-author publication(s)

– Proficiency in managing mouse colonies, genotyping, molecular biology techniques, and confocal microscopy

– Capacity to design and conduct experiments independently, analyze data, and contribute to manuscript preparation

– Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French is an asset
