Middle-Office Accounting

This role consists of ensuring quality of Financials (Balance Sheet & Profit & Loss) and managing specific accounting calculations, closing review and regulatory reporting for the legal entities under responsibility. The Middle Office Accounting Associate shall be assigned to participate as an Expert key user in Accounting transformation projects, including but not limited to IT system rollout, process harmonization and new business tender & onboarding.

Key Result Areas

Accounting Calculations

• Perform the calculations related to Bad Debts.
• Perform the calculations related Provisions and accruals.
• Perform the calculations related Fixed Asset.

Closing Review

• Ensure data quality, accuracy and timeliness of the postings done into the accounting systems and provide feedback on the identified recurring issues.
• Perform Sanity Check on Suspense Account, premiums/service revenue/claims/commissions, payroll, investments, FX and Tax.
• Ensure Closing Quality Assurance and the compliance with standard booking schemes and the Accounting Policy.
• Perform review of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Monitor and report progress of the closing.
• Supervise and/or perform upload of Financials in Consolidation tool,
• Perform post-mortem review of the closing review process to identify, monitor and resolve issues and design and implement improvements to the process.

Regulatory Reporting

• Perform and communicate Statutory Reporting.
• Perform and communicate Regulatory Reporting.
• Perform and communicate Specific Reporting.

Accounting process automation and enhancement

• Support transformation projects related to Accounting Processes and Regulatory Reporting as a Subject Matter Expert, including but not limited to IT system rollout, process harmonization and new business tender & onboarding.
