Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Monitoring & Management

  • Oversee daily monitoring of legislation and regulations in Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Peru, and Argentina.
  • Manage regulatory management tools and governance frameworks applicable to LATAM markets.
  • Translate and adapt regional regulations into corporate policies and processes for implementation.

Product Compliance & Regulatory Engagement

  • Ensure compliance of new and existing products with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead communications with regulators across multiple jurisdictions, including inquiries, inspections, and licensing projects.
  • Act as the company's compliance representative in LATAM with authorities and external stakeholders.

Policy Development & Risk Management

  • Develop, implement, and maintain regional compliance policies, guidelines, and training.
  • Identify compliance risks across LATAM operations and propose effective mitigation strategies.
  • Align regional compliance practices with global standards and internal governance frameworks.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Partner with internal teams (Legal, Risk, Product, Operations, Finance) to integrate compliance into business operations.
  • Provide guidance and strategic input to senior leadership on regulatory changes and potential impacts.
  • Promote a culture of compliance and ethical conduct across LATAM teams.

Requirements

Education:

  • Degree in Law or related fields.
  • Postgraduate studies in Compliance, Risk Management, Financial Regulation or related fields.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in compliance or regulatory affairs, preferably in fintech, banking, or financial services.
  • Solid knowledge of LATAM regulatory frameworks and experience with cross-border compliance management.
  • Proven track record managing regulatory interactions, licensing processes, and compliance programs.
  • Strong technical writing, policy design, and institutional communication skills.

Languages:

  • Fluent Spanish (mandatory).
  • Fluent English (mandatory, for global communication).
  • Portuguese (desirable).
