VirtualiSurg is a software design company specializing in medical and surgical training. It develops immersive simulators for use by operating room staff. It mobilizes different areas of expertise, including virtual reality, haptic technology and machine learning. VirtualiSurg's team works in a multicultural, international and highly interdisciplinary environment and is looking to expand further.

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative UI Designer with a strong focus on creating engaging and immersive user interfaces for web-based platforms. As a UI Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our simulations by designing visually stunning and intuitive interfaces that seamlessly blend across different virtual environment. In addition, having experience in UI design for VR is a plus, as you will also be involved with teams creating VR designs and interactions for our simulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the design and development teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Design and develop compelling UI layouts, icons, and assets for web and VR applications
  • Create visually stunning and user-friendly UI designs that enhance the overall user experience and usability of web and VR applications.
  • Prototype and iterate on UI designs, incorporating feedback from the team and users to continually improve the interface.
  • Maintain a consistent design language and style across all UI elements, ensuring brand guidelines and project aesthetics are met.
  • Work closely with developers to implement UI designs and ensure their functionality and responsiveness in web and VR environments.
  • Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to refine and optimize UI designs for maximum user engagement and satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and techniques in UI design for VR and web, and apply them effectively to enhance the quality and innovation of the UI.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UI design, with a focus on web and digital applications. Previous experience in VR design is a plus.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Sketch, Figma, or similar software.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, human-computer interaction, and usability testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with VR platforms, devices, and their specific design considerations.
  • Knowledge of web design principles, including responsive design, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Background with Game Engines like Unity 3D is a plus
