Job Description:

We are searching for the best talent for Senior Manager, Product Communications in Brazil, Colombia or Mexico.

Purpose: 

The Portfolio Communications & Public Affairs Senior Manager - LATAM is a strategic regional leader responsible for designing and executing comprehensive public relations plans tailored to the portfolio's core brands and pipeline key assets within J&J therapeutical areas. This role involves crafting targeted messaging strategies that enhance brand visibility, foster positive stakeholder relationships, and support business objectives. The Senior Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams at global, regional and local levels, including Marketing, Medical, and Regulatory - to ensure alignment of communication efforts with overall business goals. Additionally, this role requires proactive engagement with external stakeholders, including media, healthcare professionals, and advocacy groups, to build and maintain a strong reputation for the portfolio. The ultimate goal is to drive measurable business impact by promoting product awareness, differentiation and a positive brand image through strategic storytelling, reputation management, and public affairs initiatives that support the growth and success of pipelining and core assets in the Latin America region.

You will be responsible for:


• Strategic Communication Planning
Design and implement comprehensive, integrated communication and public affairs strategies for specific portfolio and pipeline assets, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory standards, and regional and local needs. Develop targeted messaging that emphasizes product value, scientific insights, and differentiators to engage key audiences effectively.


• Regional Partnership and Advisory Role
Act as a trusted advisor to the regional Integrated Brand Value Team (IBVT) leaders. Provide guidance and counsel to country and cluster-level communicators on therapeutic area and brand messaging, ensuring regional strategies are effectively adapted and implemented across markets. Promote best practice sharing and consistency within the region.


• Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Building
Cultivate strong relationships with internal teams at global, regional and local levels —including CPA, marketing, medical, regulatory, and legal—and external stakeholders such as media, advocacy groups, healthcare professionals, and policymakers. 


• Reputation and Crisis Management
Protect and enhance the reputation of products and the company through strategic storytelling, proactive media relations, and public relations initiatives. Effectively manage crisis communication, addressing issues promptly to safeguard brand integrity. Serve as the primary point of contact for product-related public affairs and communication issues.


• Content Development and Thought Leadership
Lead the creation of high-quality content, including press releases, scientific articles, social media posts, and presentations. Position the organization and its products as industry thought leaders by highlighting scientific advancements, therapeutic expertise, and innovative solutions.


• Monitoring and Performance Reporting
Track and analyze the effectiveness of communication campaigns and public relations activities using relevant metrics and analytics tools. Provide regular insights and reports to senior leadership on campaign performance, stakeholder engagement, and emerging issues, ensuring data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement of communication strategies.


• Agency and Resource Management
Oversee communication agencies and external partners supporting brand activities. Develop and manage communication budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure deliverables meet strategic objectives and quality standards.

Qualifications / Requirements:


• Required Minimum Education:  

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations/Affairs or Marketing       


• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in healthcare communications, public affairs, or related fields, with a proven track record of developing and executing strategic communication plans.

• Significant experience working in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry, particularly in therapeutic areas.

• Prior experience working with cross-functional teams
