Day-to-day Operations:
• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for BR, MX, CL and AR employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local regulations.
• Manage payroll schedules, reconciliations, and reporting cycles in alignment with company policies and statutory requirements.
• Partner with Finance, HR, and external vendors to ensure seamless payroll integration and data integrity.
Compliance & Taxation:
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation, tax laws, and regulatory changes in both countries.
• Ensure compliance with all payroll-related audits, filings, and remittances
• Lead internal controls and risk mitigation strategies related to payroll and tax compliance.
Team Leadership:
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing payroll team of 2 individuals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Set clear performance goals and provide regular feedback and coaching to team members.
• Promote cross-training and knowledge sharing to build team resilience and adaptability.
Process Improvement & Excellence:
• Identify and implement process enhancements to improve payroll accuracy, efficiency, and employee experience.
• Leverage technology and automation to streamline payroll operations and reporting.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure operational excellence.
Stakeholder Engagement:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and escalations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support business initiatives, workforce changes, and compliance requirements.
• Provide strategic insights and reporting to senior leadership on payroll trends, risks, and opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field; Professional payroll qualifications preferred.
• Minimum 5–7 years of progressive payroll experience, with at least 3 years in a team lead role.
• Proven expertise in payroll processing and tax compliance for the relevant countries.
• Strong understanding of payroll systems and HRIS integrations.
Required Software Skills:
• Advanced proficiency in payroll processing and reporting. Experience with Brazil's Senior system and ADP applications in the other countries would be beneficial
• Oracle HCM Cloud – experience with payroll data management, integrations, and reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
