Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Business Intelligence Solution Manager located in Midland, MI, Houston, TX, São Paulo, Brazil, or Navi Mumbai, India.
About you and this role
Dow's Analytics & AI Hub (AAIH) enables Dow's growth via Business Intelligence (BI), AI, and analytics-powered delivery and innovation in the Enterprise Data & Analytics Organization. Our mission is to harness the power of AI, advanced analytics, and BI to drive growth, optimize costs and outperform the competition.
Within AAIH, the Business Intelligence team helps Dow make data-driven decisions by providing user-friendly and locatable BI solutions that convert data into actionable insights. We also empower employees to explore data independently with self-service analytics.
We are seeking a skilled BI developer and solution manager to:
- Design: Guide, architect, and optimize scalable, secure, and performant BI solutions using best-in-class technologies. Ensure alignment with enterprise standards and integrate emerging BI principles, theories, and techniques to advance digital transformation and inform business decisions.
- Develop & Support: Collaborate with BI developers and service experts to execute development, implementation, and adoption of BI solutions. Deploy and maintain scalable BI services, operate within agile delivery approaches, and foster integration with analytics/AI, data engineering, and platform support.
- Mentor: Coach and mentor junior BI team members, elevate collective expertise, and build a community of BI solution experts. Act as a thought leader within the BI domain and support technical growth across the team.
- Coordinate with Users: Lead requirements analysis focused on user experience, process improvement, and reliability. Engage with cross-functional teams to optimize end-to-end processes, consult on project estimates, scope, and resource alignment for capacity planning, and ensure positive impact on client, operational, project, and service activities.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant.
- A minimum of 4 years relevant work experience required.
- A minimum requirement to work legally in the country for which you are applying. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of permanent residency (green card) process.
Your Skills
- Data Visualization: Skill in creating clear and compelling visual representations of data to support storytelling and decision-making including proficiency in Microsoft Power BI semantic modeling, DAX, and dashboard development
- Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights
- SAP: Proficiency in SAP, including BW (Business Warehouse), BW Query Design, ChaRM (Change Request Management), and HANA (High-Performance Analytic Appliance)
- Programming: Knowledge of programming languages like JavaScript, SQL, and Python for data preparation, exploration and analysis or web application development; Familiarity with using REST APIs
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Stakeholder Management: Skill in engaging with cross-functional teams and business partners to understand needs, communicate insights, and drive alignment on data-driven strategies
- Strategic Thinking: Capacity to connect analytics work to broader business goals, anticipate future challenges, and guide teams toward impactful, long-term solutions

- Technical Leadership: Experience in technical leadership and mentoring a team of BI professionals
- Business Acumen: Insight into industry-specific trends and challenges to align BI solutions with business goals
- Microsoft Power Platform: Proficiency in Power Apps, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio
- Data Engineering: Proficiency in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and architecture
- Data Science: Ability to extract insights from complex datasets using statistical analysis, modeling, and machine learning techniques to inform business decisions
- Business Intelligence tools: Proficiency in SAP Analytics Cloud and Databricks products
