Job Title: Financial Cost Coordinator

Location: Pouso Alegre, MG - 100% on-site

Reports To: Supply Chain Sr. Finance Manager

The main purpose of this role is to manage the finance aspects of Supply Chain, including Budgeting, forecasting, and reporting the cost of manufactured products. The Finance Coordinator will work as a key business partner to the Operations teams, driving financial analysis, business cases, and outcomes, to support the best investment decisions for project managers, as well as in the analysis of productivity projects. Responsible for managing the budgeting and forecasts, preparations, consolidation, reporting functions, and ensuring all operations comply with Newell's policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the reporting and analysis of Operations Opex and Capex investment results.
  • Understand the relationship between business activities and the drivers of Operations Opex to identify opportunities and risks, proposing appropriate remedial or reinforcing actions.
  • Coordinate and develop the Supply Chain finance to achieve year-over-year excellent service and cross-train across all segments in Brazil.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analyses as requested by Supply Chain, Brand, and Corporate Finance.
  • Undertake capital evaluations for new projects of continuous improvements.
  • Develop tools and reports to provide better cost transparency for the operations in the region.
  • Prepare the annual budget together with the Supply Chain area for the plant in Pouso Alegre.
  • Improve the Capex/Opex forecast accuracy through understanding of drivers/ flows.
  • Driving the cost reduction agenda and ensuring the annual productivity goal.
  • Create a relationship with internal customers to solve costing issues.
  • Implement continuous improvement processes in the area by simplifying recurring activities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in controlling, cost accounting, financial planning
  • Experience in leadership roles.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing/supply chain.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to respond under pressure.
  • Experience of working in cross-functional teams within a matrix environment is desirable.
  • Flexible and open-minded, quick to adapt to changing requirements.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, with strong intellectual curiosity.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, math or related field.
  • Data Analysis & Financial analytical skills
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • Experience working on development and analysis KPI's.
  • Advanced Technical and Excel skills.
  • Bilingual Portuguese/English.
