Description and RequirementsKey Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Execution
- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of engineers, fostering a culture of craftsmanship, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Manage team workload, prioritize initiatives, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
- Conduct performance reviews, identify growth opportunities, and support career development.
- Minimize roadblocks and maximize productivity, engagement, and fulfillment across the team.
Architecture & Technical Strategy
- Define and enforce architecture standards, secure coding practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Lead solution reviews and oversee implementation quality across Angular, Java, Spring Boot, C#, and Kafka-based systems.
- Drive cloud-native development on AWS (Azure experience is a plus), ensuring availability, resilience, and scalability.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to align technical objectives with business goals.
Platform Development & Operations
- Oversee the development, testing, and deployment of orchestration services and device management capabilities.
- Ensure platform performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Monitor system health, resolve issues, and implement preventative measures.
- Collaborate with operations teams for smooth delivery and support.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Engage with peer managers and engineering leads across Lenovo's engineering organization.
- Ensure development efforts meet internal and external customer needs.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in engineering leadership roles.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-grade applications using:
- Angular, Java, Spring Boot, C#
- Kafka for event-driven architecture
- AWS (Azure is a plus)
- Strong understanding of software architecture, secure coding, automated testing, and CI/CD.
- Experience with cloud-native development and microservices.
