Who We're Looking For

We're looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to lead automation efforts for a Django-based web application in the legal tech and patent management space. This is a high-impact role where you'll establish and execute the end-to-end UI/UX automation strategy for a platform that supports mission-critical workflows in intellectual property and legal domains.

You'll be the go-to authority for QA automation—owning framework design, test strategy, and execution. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, loves solving complex automation challenges, and wants to help shape quality practices from the ground up.


Primary Responsibilities
Design, implement, and own the UI/UX automation strategy for a Django web applicationBuild and maintain automated test frameworks for functional and end-to-end testingIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, reliable releasesPartner with developers, designers, and PMs to identify test priorities and ensure quality across sprintsDefine, document, and enforce QA standards and best practicesTroubleshoot automation issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure consistent stabilityEstablish test coverage metrics and reporting for stakeholdersMentor developers and QA engineers in automation practices and tooling Some Must-Haves:
5+ years of experience in QA Automation, with a strong focus on UI/UX testingProven success building automation frameworks from scratch (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar)Solid understanding of Django or other Python-based web frameworksStrong working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and test integration (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)Experience testing RESTful APIs and web frontends (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)Excellent communication skills — must have strong English fluency (written and verbal)High attention to detail, strong analytical mindset, and commitment to quality

Other Information

The work hours will be approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, depending on workload, with the occasional late night when a tight deadline calls for it. We work for security-conscious clients, thus background checks will be required.
