Role Overview

We are seeking a
Cross-Border Trade Strategy Advisor
to support advisory projects focused on international trade architecture, economic corridors, and regulatory transformation. The advisor will contribute to research-intensive assignments and provide strategic inputs on trade performance, digital integration, and institutional governance.

This position is well-suited to candidates with experience in cross-border trade systems, development consulting, or economic policy implementation—especially those familiar with multilateral engagements or donor-funded reform programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostics and policy reviews related to corridor competitiveness, port performance, and logistics resilience
  • Draft analytical reports, briefing papers, and comparative studies for institutional and public-sector clients
  • Translate complex regulatory frameworks into actionable policy recommendations
  • Monitor multilateral trade initiatives, customs reform programs, and infrastructure investment strategies
  • Support stakeholder mapping, institutional benchmarking, and strategy validation workshops
  • Synthesize global data and regional trade indicators into high-quality, decision-ready insights

Qualifications

  • Background in International Trade, Public Policy, Development Economics, or related field
  • 4–7 years of experience in policy consulting, regional integration programs, or trade systems analysis
  • Familiarity with Latin American economic corridors, logistics hubs, or customs modernization efforts is a plus
  • Strong writing and communication skills; fluency in English required, Portuguese a strong advantage
  • Prior engagement with donor agencies, development banks, or public-sector entities is preferred
