The Team:
The Sovereign and International Public Finance team fosters a strong collegial environment and collaborative atmosphere; as a new team member, you will be regularly assigned to support senior analysts and complete tasks independently, while ensuring full alignment with the team's needs. Therefore, teamwork is very important.

As a Research Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting analysts and sector experts. Your work will contribute to providing ongoing support to a high-performance analytical team.
Responsibilities
- Input financial statements and help build forecasts.
- Perform extensive research on credit industries and economy.
- Prepare spreadsheets and presentations to senior analysts.
- Support Senior Analysts during analytical process.
- Comply with quality standards and compliance policies.
- Provide an adequate level of customer service and responsiveness.
What you stand to Gain:
As a Research Assistant, you will be part of the Americas Sovereign and International Public Finance team within S&P Global Ratings. With ongoing interaction with senior analysts, you will have direct responsibility for supporting primary and backup analysts on various issuers, as well as in any other initiatives relevant to achieving team goals.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Public Administration, or any related field.
- Solid communication skills, both verbal and written in English.
- Intermediate or fluent reading skill in Spanish.
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask and work effectively under time pressure.
- Ability to quickly absorb and analyze information, demonstrating strong proficiency with figures while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global Ratings office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer
