Basic Function
The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the Howard University Center of Excellence Project (HU-CoE))

Supervisory Accountability
No responsibility to supervise others.

Nature And Scope
Internal contacts include faculty and staff of the University.

Minimal interaction with external partners.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Will coordinate administrative activities for the successful implementation of the project
  • Support the coordination of administrative activities for the successful implementation of the project
  • Coordinate distance-based technology for the project office
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, develop agendas, edit documents, and prepare minutes
  • monitor the project's website
  • create, develop, and maintain listserv.
  • Support marketing functions of the project's partners
  • Assist with monitoring and conduct weekly CQI of the project's website
  • Assist with research, data collection and maintenance of project's data base
  • Manage reports and records of the project
  • Report updates verbally and in written form to management
  • Additional tasks as assigned as warranted

  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to efficiently utilize social media applications

Minimum Requirements
Associate or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field which may include public health, education, business, IT. Minimum 3 years relevant work experience.
