Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job DescriptionThe Production Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the operational and logistical aspects of creative production and post-production projects across LATAM and Brazil. This role ensures timely delivery of assets aligned with strategic brand plans, manages makelists and production schedules, and serves as a key liaison between creative and technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise the operational and logistical processes of production and post-production associated with creative projects developed by preditors and editors, overseeing the execution of projects in all phases.
- Prepare monthly makelists by brand based on each monthly strategic plan, ensuring the planning and reporting/delivery of appropriate and necessary assets.
- Create detailed production schedules (makelists) and ensure compliance for assigned brands, both for LATAM and BRAZIL.
- Coordinate and channel requests for materials needed for asset production (trailers, episodes, key arts, voiceovers, graphics, translations, etc.).
- Ensure that resources, timelines, and deliverables are aligned with the basic creative communication aspects (messages) and established quality standards, facilitating effective connection between creative and operational teams.
- Coordinate all communication and reporting processes for Original Productions in Brazil, acting as a liaison between departments.
- Facilitate communication between creative and technical areas.
- Monitor post-production and final material deliveries according to the monthly strategic plan for content pieces.
- Support the Creative Direction, Creative Management, as well as supervisors and editors. Analyze and manage workflows that streamline operational processes.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Media Production, Film/TV, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in production coordination, media operations, or post-production.
- Strong organizational and planning skills; ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
- Excellent attention to detail in handling assets, makelists, and technical specifications.
- Operational mindset with a focus on process efficiency and workflow optimization.
- Effective and assertive communication skills; ability to collaborate across departments.
- Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment with creative and technical teams.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate production needs.
- Familiarity with media production tools and asset management systems.
- Spanish Language Proficiency: Required due to the management of brands with both Brazil and LATAM feeds.
