Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and sustainability-driven Material Lifecycle Analyst to evaluate and optimize the environmental, social, and economic impact of materials throughout their lifecycle. The role focuses on analyzing sourcing, production, use, and end-of-life stages of materials to support sustainable innovation, compliance, and corporate responsibility goals. The ideal candidate will combine expertise in material science, sustainability assessment, and data analytics to provide actionable insights for product development and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) of raw materials, textiles, and finished products.

Collect, validate, and analyze data on environmental impacts, including carbon footprint, water usage, energy consumption, and waste generation.

Collaborate with R&D, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to recommend more sustainable material choices.

Support product design by identifying opportunities for circular economy models, recycling, and reuse.

Prepare reports and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., ISO 14040/44, GHG Protocol, EU sustainability directives).

Benchmark company performance against industry standards and competitors.

Partner with external vendors, suppliers, and certification bodies to verify data accuracy and traceability.

Stay informed about emerging materials, sustainable technologies, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Material Science, Sustainability, or related field.

3–5 years of experience in sustainability analysis, LCA, or materials management.

Strong knowledge of LCA tools and software (e.g., SimaPro, GaBi, OpenLCA).

Familiarity with environmental standards and reporting frameworks (e.g., ISO, GRI, SASB, CDP).

Analytical mindset with advanced skills in Excel, databases, or data visualization tools.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.

Preferred Skills

Experience in the textile, fashion, or manufacturing industries.

Knowledge of circular economy principles and closed-loop material systems.

Understanding of carbon accounting and ESG reporting.

Familiarity with blockchain or digital product passports for material traceability.
