We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused
On-Site Technical Support Engineer
to provide technical expertise for our financial services products, with a focus on credit industry solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong Java development skills, hands-on experience with MySQL, and a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in real-time. A background in the credit/banking industry and exceptional client communication skills are essential to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for the financial systems, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid resolution of issues.
- Diagnose and resolve problems related to Java applications, Redis caching, MySQL databases, and associated middleware.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for critical incidents and implement preventive measures.
System Maintenance & Optimization
- Monitor system performance, conduct regular health checks, and optimize configurations for Redis, MySQL, and Java applications.
- Collaborate with development teams to deploy patches, updates, and hotfixes in production environments.
Client Communication & Requirements Handling
- Act as the primary technical liaison between clients and the Chinese teams, transmitting business needs to technical solution arthitect in China.
- Respond promptly to client operational requests, prioritize tasks, and manage expectations effectively.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Create detailed technical documentation, including incident reports, troubleshooting guides, and best practices.
- Train clients on system functionalities and operational workflows.
Compliance & Collaboration
- Ensure solutions adhere to local credit industry regulations (e.g., data security, audit requirements).
- Work closely with DevOps, QA, and product teams to improve system reliability and user experience.
Requirements
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Java development and debugging (Spring Boot, J2EE, or similar frameworks).
- Strong experience with MySQL (query optimization, replication, backup/recovery).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Linux/Unix environments, and scripting (Shell/Python).
- Knowledge of DevOps tools (Jenkins, Docker) and monitoring systems (Prometheus, Grafana) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Redis (cluster management, performance tuning) is a plus.
Industry Experience
- 5+ years of experience in technical support or development roles, preferably within the
credit, banking, or fintech sectors
. - Understanding of credit business processes (e.g., loan management, risk assessment, payment systems).
Soft Skills
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel frequently for on-site client support.
Language
- Fluency in English and Portuguese.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in Java, Redis, MySQL, or cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
- Experience with microservices architecture and cloud-native technologies.
- Knowledge of financial compliance standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR).
- Knowledge of credit risk management systems(e.g., FICO, Neurotech).
