Job Description
The IT Systems Administrator provides technical leadership and support for Fugro's IT infrastructure, including server, storage, and virtualization systems. This role ensures optimal performance, availability, and scalability of both physical and virtual environments. The Systems Administrator maintains expert-level knowledge of current and emerging hardware, software, and infrastructure technologies to maximize efficiency and utilization across Fugro's IT landscape. Working closely with IT leadership, the Administrator contributes to environment design, control, and security, and leads the selection and implementation of innovative technologies that support and enhance Fugro's business operations. The role also includes monitoring and supporting infrastructure servers, maintaining virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and troubleshooting performance and availability issues. Where supported, the Administrator will implement automation to streamline operations and improve system reliability.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to: stand, walk, and sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee must have the ability to travel to field operation sites both onshore and offshore.
Other Work Requirements:
Position requires frequent and heavy computer use.
Employee must be able to work effectively with departmental and inter-company personnel to satisfactorily complete jobs.
Some travel required; ability and willingness to travel to remote sites/ Vessels.
Rotational on-call responsibility during business and non-business hours.
