Our client is seeking a Technical Project Manager to provide leadership and structure across a wide-ranging portfolio of technical projects within IT Operations. The ideal candidate thrives in creating quality rigor within ambiguous environments and demonstrates expertise in Cloud Infrastructure and Database Operations. This individual will be responsible for driving execution, anticipating risks, resolving issues, and ensuring alignment across multiple technical teams and stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Develop clear, transparent communications that foster alignment, gain stakeholder agreement, and surface conflicts constructively.
- Monitor and maintain detailed project schedules to ensure objectives and milestones are met.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to create and manage integrated project plans that drive on-time delivery of complex programs.
- Proactively communicate with project stakeholders through regular status reports, schedule updates, and risk assessments.
- Identify bottlenecks in resources, equipment, or skill sets and develop solutions to mitigate delays.
- Lead problem resolution and risk mitigation efforts to keep projects on track.
- Conduct project closure activities including documentation, post-implementation reviews, and continuous improvement recommendations.
- Utilize project management tools such as Clarizen and JIRA to manage planning and execution activities.
This Might Describe You
- 3+ years of demonstrated success managing complex technical projects.
- Deep experience in Cloud Infrastructure and Database Operations.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
- Skilled in Scrum methodologies, including facilitating ceremonies and guiding agile teams.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills; able to clearly articulate technical details to diverse audiences.
- Hands-on, proactive approach with a high sense of urgency, initiative, and ownership.
- Self-started who works independently with limited direction.
- Proficient in project management tools such as Clarizen and JIRA.
