THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a Tech Lead Frontend Software Engineer (Individual Contributor) to join our BASE FA Teams in Brazil This is a Remote – Brazil position, meaning you can work from anywhere within the country. Please note that this role is only open to candidates in Brazil.

At the BASE (Business Architecture Services), we build the heart of the Wellhub business model. Our mission is to help Wellhub build a truly scalable platform to support dozens of millions of active users and clients around the world with high availability while being flexible and extensible to incorporate new business models.
In this role, you will go beyond coding — you will drive technical excellence across services and teams, mentoring engineers, shaping frontend architecture, and ensuring Wellhub continues to deliver reliable, scalable, and user-centric solutions. As a Staff/Specialist Frontend Engineer, you will take end-to-end ownership of some critical product flows and deliveries. You will be involved from the beginning of the product lifecycle, partnering with product and design, defining technical approaches, and delivering high-impact solutions. Your work will ensure performance, reliability, and overall product excellence across BASE services.
This role combines strong frontend expertise with leadership in a critical position that delivers meaningful impact across the organization, spanning from system architecture to implementation.

YOUR IMPACT

Lead the frontend development in the BASE Focus Area, influencing architecture and design decisions across teams.Design and implement straightforward solutions to complex scenarios, ensuring scalability and maintainability.Work closely with product managers and designers to translate vision and needs into technical solutions that make sense to the engineering team, and vice versa.Serve as a focal point in the communication with other teams and areas of the company.Serve as a technical reference to the team and gain recognition as such across the company.Mentor and guide other engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and collaboration.Live the mission: inspire and empower others by genuinely caring for your own wellbeing and your colleagues. WHO YOU ARE

A specialist frontend software engineer with strong expertise in React and React Native, along with a solid understanding of related technologies.Experienced in distributed systems and modern system designs, including cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, Backend for Frontend (BFFs), Micro Frontends, as well as web and mobile applications.Skilled in designing and developing complex modern mobile and web applications.Experienced with RESTful and GraphQL services, collaborating with backend teams to create mockups, define payloads, and follow HTTP best practices.Capable of architecting large-scale, multi-tier web applications.A team player who thrives in collaborative environments, providing mentorship to junior colleagues and actively seeking support from peers.An effective communicator, both written and verbal, able to clearly articulate ideas across cultures and geographies in both Portuguese and English.A professional with strong desire for learning and self-development, holding a bachelor's degree in computer science or possessing equivalent professional experience.
