Data Lead

Location:
Alphaville, São Paulo

Work Model:
Hybrid (up to 2 days per week onsite)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead data squads, ensuring both technical execution and strategic alignment with business needs.
  • Define and implement
    data governance, data quality, and architecture strategies
    .
  • Build and maintain scalable
    data governance and quality processes
    .
  • Guarantee high standards of
    data quality, metadata management, and reliability
    .
  • Generate
    studies, insights, and KPIs
    to monitor data accuracy and inform business decisions.
  • Conduct alignment meetings,
    performance reviews, and individual development plans (IDPs)
    .
  • Act as the technical focal point in data projects, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Promote
    best practices in data engineering
    , including pipelines, orchestration, and automation.
  • Support cross-functional integration between
    product, engineering, and business stakeholders
    .

Technical Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with
    SQL, Python, data modeling, and ETL/ELT pipelines
    .
  • Expertise with
    Cloud Data Platforms
    (GCP, Azure, or AWS preferred).
  • Knowledge of
    conceptual and physical data modeling
    .
  • Experience with tools such as
    Databricks, Spark, Hadoop, Airflow
    .
  • Proficiency in
    data quality and data cataloging tools
    .
  • Familiarity with
    data integration methodologies
    (ETL/ELT).
  • Experience with
    data visualization tools
    (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).

Leadership Requirements

  • Proven experience as a
    technical leader or manager
    of data teams.
  • Ability to conduct
    1:1 meetings, feedback sessions, and performance reviews
    .
  • Strong skills in
    coaching, mentoring, and talent development
    .
  • Excellent communication skills across
    technical and non-technical stakeholders
    .

    strategic, results-oriented mindset
