Team OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Tax Planning Manager to join our tax team and lead strategic tax planning initiatives across our operations. This role is ideal for a dynamic tax professional with deep expertise in domestic and international tax planning, business partnering, and digital business models.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, Product, Ops etc.) to proactively manage tax risk, identify optimization opportunities, and support business growth in a rapidly evolving regulatory and digital environment.
Role ResponsibilitiesResponsible for:
• Strategic Tax Planning:
Design, evaluate, and implement global and local tax strategies that align with business objectives, including expansion, restructurings, M&A, and new product launches.
• Tax Reform:
Act strategically with the various business areas in the implementation of Tax Reform.
• Cross-Border Advisory:
Lead planning and structuring for intercompany transactions, intellectual property, financing arrangements, and digital services across multiple jurisdictions.
• Business Partnering:
Act as a strategic advisor to business leaders, proactively advising on the tax implications of multiples initiatives.
• Regulatory & Legislative Monitoring:
Monitor global tax developments (e.g., Tax Reform, TP, Pillar One & Two, OECD/GloBE, DSTs) and evaluate impact on the company; lead readiness and scenario planning.
• Tax Governance & Risk Management:
Develop and maintain robust tax governance frameworks. Identify and manage tax risks in compliance with global tax policies and regulatory requirements.
• Audit & Controversy Support:
Support or lead tax audit defense and controversy resolution related to complex transactions.
Role Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or related field (required). Master's in Taxation, JD/LLM, or equivalent (preferred).
• CPA, CA, or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred.
• 10 years of progressive tax experience, including significant exposure to tax planning for complex multinational groups.
• Strong preference for Big 4 combined with in-house experience at a TMT (preferred).
• Expertise in tax planning, consulting/business support, transfer pricing and corporate restructuring.
• Deep understanding of tax challenges facing platform business models (preferred).
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects, communicate with senior executives, and influence decision-making.
• Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English.
