Your Role:

The Senior Director HRBP Latam and Canada is the HR face to the business leadership. The role has five main areas of focus:

  • Know the Business
  • Bring HR Competence
  • Balance the Desires of Leadership, Employees and the Company
  • Lead within the HR function

Additional details:

  • Role will sit on the Global HRBP Lead Team and provide HR leadership for all Elanco's Latam HRBPs, sites and affiliates
  • Role will also provide supervisory responsibility to the cluster or country country/site HR professionals who have business partnership responsibilities
  • Will be the Country HR leader for a large Latam affiliate (Brazil)
  • Role will be located in the Latam region and will be a member of the Latam LT, Brazil LT and Global HRBPLT

Your Responsibilities:

Know the Business:

  • Challenges the business leaders to provide the organization goals and objectives that will stretch the team while balancing risks
  • Ensures that the business has an effective workforce strategy in place.
  • Provides strategies to help ensure that the workforce is engaged, motivated, and appropriately rewarded to achieve both long- and short term business objectives.

Bring HR Competence:

  • Provides strategic and operational advice, consultation, and coaching to the senior leader on critical organization and talent-related issues
  • Enables leaders to be efficient in the use of the HR operating model i.e HR Shared Services, COE and HR BP support

Balance the Needs of Leadership, Employees, Functions and the Company:

  • Enables high quality informed decisions by advocating, in a balanced way, the needs and priorities of the Company, Management and Employee.
  • Ensure balance of local variation and global consistency

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

  • University Degree in HR, Business or a related field
  • Minimum of 10+ years' experience as successful HR business partner supporting the business in a regional and/or global context.
  • Experience leading and developing a team of HR professionals.
  • Fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic and operational planning, organization design, executive team development, leadership development, performance coaching, and/or rewards design.
  • Demonstrated Workforce Management Expertise in key area such as Talent Management, Leadership Development, Staffing, Employee Engagement.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

  • Demonstrated understanding of the internal and external business environment and its connection to HR strategy
  • Ability to translate strategy to action. Diagnose business problems. Create and implement solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex HR matters, including employee relations, performance management, organizational changes etc.
  • Capable of regularly managing complex communication with senior leaders across functions and geography.
  • Demonstrated experience in organization design/restructuring and change management.

  • Travel requirements: 20%
