About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Integration Developer to design, develop, and maintain integrations between enterprise systems and applications. The ideal candidate has strong Java development skills, hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, SFTP file transfers, and relational databases. This role requires a detail-oriented problem solver who can work collaboratively with business and technical teams to ensure reliable and efficient data exchange across platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement system integrations using Java and related technologies.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs for data exchange between internal and external systems.
  • Develop secure and automated SFTP file transfer processes.
  • Create and maintain integration workflows involving databases (SQL queries, stored procedures, data mapping, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and other developers to define integration requirements.
  • Monitor and optimize integration performance and scalability.
  • Maintain technical documentation for integration solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–5+ years of experience in software development or system integration.
  • Proficiency in Java (JDK 8 or above) and integration frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Apache Camel, MuleSoft, etc.).
  • Strong experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with SFTP automation and secure file transfer mechanisms.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and SQL scripting.
  • Familiarity with integration patterns, error handling, and transaction management.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud-based integrations (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS).
  • Familiarity with JSON, XML, and data transformation techniques.
  • Exposure to API management tools or ESB platforms.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
