Redis is looking for a Back-End Software Engineer to join our Redis Cloud R&D team in Sofia

Why would you love this job?
In this role, you will develop and maintain the Redis Cloud management platforms (with over 200K users worldwide). You'll take ownership of end-to-end development of essential customer-facing features in our SaaS product, directly impacting thousands of developers and enterprises.
Our ideal candidate is a strong back-end engineer with experience building large-scale web applications and services, eager to learn new technologies and create real impact for our customers.
 
What you'll do:
  • Design, develop, and maintain significant flows in the Redis Cloud management platform.
  • Improve existing codebases and drive them to excellence, testability, and CI/CD readiness.
  • Deliver new customer-facing features that enhance user experience.
  • Collaborate closely with teammates, Product, DevOps, Support, Customer Success, and other R&D teams across Israel, Bulgaria, and abroad.
  • Research and integrate new technologies and methodologies into Redis Cloud.
What will you need to have?
  • 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
  • B.Sc. in Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience with Java or equivalent object-oriented programming languages.
  • Proven ability to dive deep into complex systems and deliver scalable, maintainable solutions.
  • Experience designing REST APIs.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills across multiple stakeholders.
  • High-level English communication skills.
Extra great if you have:
  • Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP) and SaaS environments.
  • Experience with the Prometheus stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, etc.) for monitoring and observability.
  • Experience with Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
