We're seeking an exceptional leader to oversee the last mile Engineering organization in Brazil, managing comprehensive Design, Project, and Process Engineering operations for Amazon Logistics (AMZL) and Amazon Transportation Systems (ATS). This role operates at the intersection of regional business growth and worldwide strategic initiatives.

A successful candidate will have an established background in developing teams that are capable of creating high-performance physical systems, a strong technical problem-solving ability, excellent project management skills, and an internal motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced, and often ambiguous environment.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead a diverse team of 6 engineers
- Drive engineering execution in Brazil
- Manage delivery of 30+ annual projects resulting in 50+ individual site modifications
- Interface with senior customers and stakeholders to align regional needs with global strategies
- Drive infrastructure development from planning through to execution
- Explore viability of new and existing technologies to the local market and business conditions

About the team
The Emerging Countries Engineering team is a WW business support function that innovates and scales best in class processing infrastructure for the logistics business in Amazon. The team combines local presence with central/WW development of long term solutions.

- Engineering leadership experience
- Track record of scaling engineering organizations across multiple geographies
- Experience managing complex programs across diverse stakeholder groups
- Background in logistics, supply chain or related processing infrastructure development
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing multicultural teams
- Experience in strategic planning and execution
- Educational degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field

- MBA or post graduate technical degree
- Experience in emerging countries
- Multi-lingual capabilities
- Previous experience with Amazon or major logistics operators
