We are searching for the best talent for the Regional Medical Director LATAM - Oncology to be in Brazil, Colombia, or Mexico.

The Regional Medical Affairs Director (RMAD) provides strategic direction and leadership to the Regional Medical Affairs teams, contributes to the collective medical leadership of the company worldwide, and represents JNJ Innovative Medicines with key external stakeholders.

You will be responsible for:

1. Member of Regional Medical Affairs leadership team (RMAC), the RMAD is expected to be part of this team which collectively defines, enables & stewards the Medical Affairs vision in the Region.

2. The RMAD is a role model and leads by example supporting transparency and compliance across the organization articulating a bold, shared vision that is centered on the patient, embeds and projects this vision in all internal & external interactions, building empowered and scientifically sound medical teams who are capable to make impactful company and portfolio differentiating decisions.

3. The RMAD is a leader that helps their team to build the skills and the mindset they need to learn, grow, and succeed, removing obstacles and creates framing, clarity, and focus.

4. Inspire high levels of medical expertise and an enterprise mindset.

5. Co-lead with the IBVT the brand and business strategy, fostering an environment where decisions are driven by science and data.

6. Work closely with GCO and MAO teams to enhance clinical development capabilities to foster an effective and sustainable research environment that allows for innovation and stronger external partnership.

7. Accountable for clinical data generation portfolio needed to fill evidence gaps in the region and in collaboration with the access team, anticipate/support patient access according to the regional needs and in line with the global strategy.

8. Close relationship with global team shaping and influencing short and long-term strategic decisions considering LATAM scenarios.

9. Strong focus on digitalization, data, and personalized healthcare in the context of our pioneering medicine portfolio.

10. The RMAD will work with different internal/external healthcare stakeholders to enable healthcare sustainability by shaping the environment and ensuring sustainable access to innovation.

Qualifications:


• Deep scientific knowledge according to business/regulatory needs


• Deep knowledge of drug development process, including clinical epidemiology, randomized controlled trials, real world evidence studies, phase 4 studies, and publication plans.


• 10-12 Years Work Experience, including pharma industry, ideally in Medical Affairs with a minimum of three years of experience in a relevant area.


• Broad experience leading people with complex accountabilities and working with teams outside of medical affairs.


• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate clear messages from complex data/ information.


• Business and financial acumen.


• Teamwork, negotiation, coaching and influencing skills – able to work effectively in a matrix with deep listening skills and growth mindset.


• Proven capability in attracting and developing talent to support future succession needs.


• Deep understanding in healthcare and medical compliance.


• Proven capacity to work through complexity, difficulty, and adverse situations with agility and adaptability.


• Entrepreneurial and strategic mindset, experience in creating and delivering on a strategic vision.


• Awareness of, and adherence to, Johnson & Johnson Credo values with an inclusive leadership behavior.
