Job Description

Responsibilities
Merchant Onboarding & Management
Assist in engineering process of automated onboarding and KYC
Maintain accurate and up-to-date merchant records in internal systems.
Support merchants in listing, updating, and optimizing products on the platform.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
Monitor merchant performance KPIs (GMV, order volume, active vs inactive merchants, category growth).
Prepare weekly/monthly dashboards and reports on merchant performance and engagement.
Identify underperforming merchants and coordinate reactivation strategies.
Engagement & Relationship Management
Act as a point of contact for day-to-day merchant queries and issue resolution.
Support merchant engagement campaigns
Build and maintain strong relationships with key merchants to improve satisfaction and retention and tier progression.
Campaign & Growth Initiatives
Work with cross-functional teams to design and execute sales campaigns.
Assist in merchant challenges, seasonal promotions, and co-funded campaigns to grow GMV.
Provide feedback from merchants to product and operations teams to improve services.
Operational Excellence
Support payout coordination and ensure timely settlements.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, risk guidelines.
Suggest process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency.
Key Deliverables
Weekly merchant performance tracker & dashboards.
Monthly merchant engagement activity reports.
Reactivation plan and execution for inactive merchants.
Smooth execution of at least one marketplace campaign per quarter.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Marketing, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in e-commerce, fintech, marketplace management, or merchant operations.
Strong analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) – English + Sinhala
Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
Team player with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Experience
Prior experience in e-commerce or BNPL/fintech platforms is a bonus but not mandatory.
Knowledge of merchant lifecycle management and engagement strategies.
Familiarity with regional markets (Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal).
Comfortable using dashboards, CRM tools, and reporting systems.
