We are seeking a
Process Safety Engineer
to ensure the continuity of process safety activities and provide consistent technical support for both operations and ongoing projects during the maternity leave coverage of the current Process Safety Lead, for an estimated duration of
nine (9) months
.

Purpose of the Role:

  • Perform various functions, working collectively and collaboratively with other engineers from other disciplines to provide loss prevention and risk management support for daily operations and projects.
  • Maintain strong connection with onshore and offshore teams to provide day-to-day process safety support.
  • Act as a liaison with third-party contractors and service providers.
  • Work in alignment with the HSE team to support continuous improvement of HSE implementation and compliance with all regulatory and corporate requirements.
  • Lead risk analysis activities
     using 
    PHA methodologies
     such as 
    What-if, HAZOP, HAZID
    .
  • Follow up on risk recommendations, evaluations and analyses
    , ensuring proper documentation and implementation of actions.
  • Support the 
    Management of Change (MOC)
     process, particularly with respect to risk review and technical assessment.
  • Facilitate the 
    implementation of the HSE Management System and Procedures
    .

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:
     Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical or Mechanical Engineering).
  • Preferred (as a plus):
     Post-graduation in Safety Engineering or Process Safety Engineering.
  • Languages:
     Portuguese and English.
