We are looking for Senior Facilities Assistants (holding the functional title of Works Supervisor II)/Facilities Assistants to join the Maintenance and Operations Unit of the Estates Office.

The Role
The appointees will assist in working with contractors, carrying out inspection, maintenance and repair of plumbing/electrical systems to ensure that they conform with the University and statutory requirements; and perform other duties as assigned. Working outside normal office hours and providing emergency on-call services on a rotational basis are required as necessary. Enquires about the posts should be sent to

Qualifications And Qualities
Applicants should possess:

• 5 passes in HKCEE, including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics; OR min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics; OR a recognized certificate in the areas of plumbing services/electrical installations;
• At least 3 years' experience in carpentry/painting/plumbing/electrical system maintenance and repair;
• A valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card) issued in accordance with Chapter 59 of the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance (i.e. by attending the relevant safety training courses which are recognized by the Commissioner for Labour) or equivalent;
• A fair command of spoken English and Chinese;
• Valid driving license (Classes 1 and 2) holder with solid driving experience is preferred; and
• Possession of a registered electrical worker certificate and/or a plumber's license is an added advantage.

Applicants with lower qualifications or less experience would be considered for the post of Facilities Assistant.

What We Offer
The appointments will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.

資歷:

• 香港中學會考五科合格,包括英文,中文及數學;或香港中學文憑考試五科不低於第2級,包括英國語文,中國語文及數學;或持有與水務設施或電力裝置相關的文憑或證書;
• 具備最少三年保養及維修木工油漆、水務設施或電力裝置的工作經驗;
• 持有效「建造業安全訓練證明書」(即平安咭);
• 能操流利廣東話及基本英語;
• 持有1及2號類別車輛之有效駕駛執照和相關駕駛經驗者可獲優先考慮;及
• 持有註冊電工及/或水喉匠牌照者具有相對優勢。

具備較低資歷及較少經驗者可聘任為設備事務助理。

僱員福利
:
入職薪酬將按受聘者之學歷及相關工作經驗釐定。受聘者須盡早到任,以兩年合約形式聘用,合約期滿可獲約滿酬金及大學按強積金計劃所規定的供款, 合共薪金總和的百分之十; 若工作表現滿意,可獲續約。其他僱員福利包括有薪假期及醫療福利。
