Employment Term Full time employment working up to 6 days per week.

Overtime available.

Work location Potentially working away from home for up to 3 weeks at a time several times per year.

Our client is a company that has developed a suite of technology for the extraction of the copper core of a cable for telecommunication or power companies.

As part of our growing operations in Brazil we need a field engineer that can be trained by our global engineering team how to use our equipment and process to extract cables for our customers in Brazil.

The role requires a lot of physically demanding field work outside working in telecommunication bueiro's and running a team of civils contractors to help us extract decommissioned copper cables.

Essential Skills

  • Must be able to speak, read and write English
  • Excellent understanding of safety best practices using heavy equipment
  • Engineering background/experience
  • Mechanical problem solver with strong common-sense acumen
  • A background or interest in general engineering and a logical problem solver
  • Used to or capable of manual labour, working outside on telecommunication or power networks in manholes or dug excavations and is able to conduct physical work inside bueiro's preparing cable extraction equipment
  • A self-motivated worker who takes pride in achieving the highest possible standards
  • Basic computer skills (able to create reports and project plans
  • Open and able to learn new skills

Highly Desirable Skills

  • Experience working on telecommunication and/or power cables networks Experience with hydraulics and/or pneumatics
  • Valid driver license
  • Trailer driving license Full training will be provided with the opportunity to grow with the company, developing the existing technology and new techniques to improve productivity.
