Our client is a global leader in the Renewable Energy and Semiconductor Manufacturing sector, driving innovation in sustainable technologies and clean energy solutions. With a strong presence across multiple regions, the company is expanding its operations in Brazil and is seeking a dynamic Finance Manager to support financial strategy, compliance, and growth initiatives in the region.

Role Description

The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations in Brazil, ensuring compliance with local regulations, managing financial reporting, budgeting, and supporting business growth. This role involves close collaboration with global finance teams, auditors, tax authorities, and operational leaders to ensure efficient financial management and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for Brazil operations.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS.
  • Ensure tax compliance, including corporate income tax, VAT, and other statutory requirements.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Support business operations by providing financial insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure financial integrity.
  • Partner with global finance teams on transfer pricing, intercompany transactions, and consolidation activities.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate financial performance and identify areas for improvement, cost optimization, and risk mitigation.
  • Oversee finance team members in Brazil, providing leadership, coaching, and development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Master's or MBA preferred).
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) are a plus.
  • 7+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of Brazilian GAAP, IFRS, and local tax regulations.
  • Experience working in Renewable Energy, Semiconductor Manufacturing, or Industrial sectors preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage complex financial operations in a multinational environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; fluency in Portuguese and English required.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel / financial modeling skills.
