We're looking for our next Junior Solutions Architect. Could It Be You?

We are seeking a Solutions Architect (or a developer with a strong architectural mindset) with 3-5 years of experience who is ready to specialize. You do not need to be a current security expert. We are looking for a professional with a strong foundation in how modern systems are built, a disciplined approach to learning, and the aptitude to think like an attacker.

In this role, you will work directly under the mentorship of our Principal Security Architect to develop deep expertise in the field. You will learn to apply your existing architectural skills to threat modeling, secure design, and cloud defense.

You will begin by supporting senior architects and gradually take ownership of security designs as your expertise grows.

• Learn Secure Design: Shadow our Principal Architect in threat modeling sessions and design reviews. Learn to identify security flaws and propose mitigations in proposed architectures before they are built.
• Bridge Engineering & Security: Leverage your background in solutions architecture to bridge the gap between teams. You will help engineering teams understand how to implement security requirements practically within their specific tech stack.
• Architectural Analysis: Deconstruct existing legacy systems, often without full documentation, to understand their logic and data flows. You will map these systems to identify and quantify potential risks.
• Support the S-SDLC: Assist in embedding security checks into our software development lifecycle to ensure developers have appropriate guardrails in their CI/CD pipelines.
• Cloud Security Foundations: Apply recognized cloud patterns (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to help teams configure their environments securely by default.

We are looking for a candidate with the right technical foundation that we can build upon through established mentorship.

Professional Essentials:

• Experience (3-5 years): Approximately 3-5 years of total technical experience. Relevant backgrounds include Junior Solutions Architect, Systems Analyst, or a Software Engineer who frequently leads design decisions for their team.
• Architectural Mindset: Ability to analyze a system and understand how the components (APIs, databases, microservices, queues) interact. You must be comfortable reading architectural diagrams and creating your own to explain complex concepts.
• Systematic Problem Solving: You have a natural curiosity for how systems really work, even "without full documentation". You enjoy deconstructing a complex problem, identifying the core components, and mapping out how they connect.
• Code Fluency: While you will not write production code daily, you must be comfortable reading code (e.g., Java, Python, Go, or Node) to understand business logic and spot potential issues.
• Cloud Awareness: Familiarity with core services in any major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including the basics of cloud networking, IAM, and storage.

Security Aptitude:

• Demonstrated Interest: Evidence of interest in security beyond standard job requirements. Examples might include home lab setups, participation in capture-the-flag events (like HackTheBox), or a history of proactively identifying risks in previous design meetings.
• Core Concepts: Familiarity with fundamental concepts such as the OWASP Top 10, the distinction between Authentication and Authorization, and basic encryption standards (TLS, AES).
