Responsibilities
- Assess tax documents received from vendors to ensure compliance with domestic legislation, especially, input taxes (PIS/COFINS) and Withholding Taxes (WHT: IRRF, PCC, and ISS).
- Check and control Purchase Orders (POs) before registering tax invoices into the ERP system (NetSuite) and government websites (specifically, Prefeitura Municipal de São Paulo).
- Process internal employee reimbursements, ensuring tax compliance.
- Calculate and collect Withholding Taxes (WHT).
- Prepare and file WHT returns (EFD-Reinf, MIT, DCTF, and NFTS), ensuring compliance with legal deadlines.
- Support system adaptations and parameterization within the ERP due to tax reform changes.
- Provide active support during tax audits involving Withholding Taxes (WHT).
Requirements
- Completed or ongoing higher education in Accounting, Business Administration, Law, or related fields.
- Basic/solid knowledge of Brazilian tax legislation, focusing on Withholding Taxes (IRRF, PIS, COFINS, CSLL, and ISS).
- Familiarity with accessory obligations related to withholdings (such as EFD-Reinf, DCTF, NFTS).
- Experience or familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite knowledge is a plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Detail orientation and high accuracy for checking documents and tax calculations.
- Proactivity and ability to work with tight deadlines.
- Good communication and ability to interact with different areas of the company (Purchasing, Accounts Payable).
- English skills (intermediate level or above)
