Job Summary
Pyyne is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with experience working with .NET C#
to work as a Consultant for a large US-based Insurance client out of our Brazilian
Office.
A successful candidate in this role will be a capable player-coach, able to provide
technical support to mid-level and junior developers, while contributing to the
team's codebase themselves. The Pyyne team will interact regularly and directly
with technical and non-technical stakeholders in the client organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using .NET Framework/.NET Core and C#
- Build responsive user interfaces using MVC architecture and React components
- Develop and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and queries
- Implement Entity Framework for data access layer and ORM functionality
- Apply dependency injection principles and design patterns for scalable application architecture
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards across the team
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in insurance applications and systems
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on best practices
- Contribute to system architecture decisions and technology roadmap planning
*Must Have Skills:*
- 5+ years of professional software development experience in an Agile work environment
- Strong proficiency in .NET Framework/.NET Core and C# programming
- Extensive experience with ASP.NET MVC for web application development
- Solid understanding of and modern JavaScript ES6+
- Advanced SQL Server skills including query optimization and database design
- Hands-on experience with Entity Framework (Code First and Database First approaches)
- Strong knowledge of dependency injection patterns and IoC containers
- Experience with RESTful API development and integration
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design principles
*Nice to Have Skills:*
- Experience in insurance domain or financial services industry in a consulting capacity
- Knowledge of Azure cloud services and deployment strategies
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (NUnit, xUnit, Jest)
