We are working with a global leader in entertainment, seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to strengthen their engineering capability in São Paulo. This is a hands-on role where you will design, develop, and maintain test automation, while mentoring junior engineers and helping shape the quality culture of the team.

The Role

  • Design and implement test automation frameworks, tools, and scripts.
  • Debug application issues, support developers in root cause analysis, and automate manual processes.
  • Create and review detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Contribute to product discussions and refine acceptance criteria with engineers, product owners, and QEs.
  • Perform API testing using tools such as Postman and RESTAssured.
  • Ensure testing coverage includes performance, security, and accessibility.
  • Participate in CI/CD pipelines and Agile ceremonies.
  • Provide mentorship to junior SDETs and support the onboarding of new hires.
  • Collaborate on process improvements and participate in interview assessments.

About You

  • Proven experience as an SDET or QA Automation Engineer.
  • Strong background in software testing, from requirements analysis through to execution and reporting.
  • Skilled in Playwright (preferable) or Selenium for automation testing
  • Proficient in test management tools such as Jira and Xray.
  • Experience designing test automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Knowledge of non-functional testing (performance, security, accessibility).
  • Strong grasp of CI/CD concepts and Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
