Junior Accountant

We are looking for a Junior Accountant, based in Malta, to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks. The main responsibilities include keeping financial records updated and supporting with the day-to-day administration of the Finance function. This role reports to the Senior Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities

• Perform general accounting duties.
• Reconcile various elements of Financial Statements.
• Take ownership for the processing of Accounts Payables, including postings, reconciliations, communication with suppliers.
• Support in Accounts Receivables as required.
• Support in Accounting for Cash & Cash equivalents.
• Assistance in Month-end Closing, including Accruals & Prepayments.
• Assistance in Audit Procedures.
• Assistance to rest of Finance team as required.
• Other Ad-hoc duties as required.

Requirements

• Sound knowledge of English language is necessary.
• Minimum of 1 or 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• Holds a relevant qualification in accounting or finance.
• Competency in MS Office, especially MS Excel and accounting software.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Aptitude for numbers.
• Well organized, flexible and a team worker.
• Willingness to learn on the job and manage their own processes
