O Engagement Manager é o responsável pelo sucesso global de um ou mais projetos de consultoria (engagement) — desde o planejamento e execução até a satisfação do cliente e o impacto gerado. Atua como ponte entre o cliente e o time de consultores, garantindo que o trabalho entregue resolva o problema de negócio e gere valor tangível.

Principais Responsabilidades

1. Gestão de Projetos e Delivery

  • Planeja, estrutura e executa projetos de consultoria de ponta a ponta.
  • Garante que os entregáveis atendam aos padrões de qualidade da firma.
  • Coordena analistas, associados e especialistas, priorizando atividades e recursos.
  • Gerencia o cronograma, orçamento e escopo do engagement.
  • Conduz checkpoints semanais e revisões com o cliente e a liderança interna.
  • Responsabilidade final: entregar impacto dentro do prazo e do escopo, com qualidade "de partner".

2. Relacionamento com o Cliente

  • Atua como ponto focal diário com executivos de nível gerencial e diretivo (C-Level).
  • Constrói confiança, entende as dores do cliente e traduz isso em soluções práticas.
  • Sabe navegar politicamente dentro da organização, conectando áreas e decisões.
  • Facilita reuniões executivas e apresentações estratégicas.

3. Desenvolvimento de Negócios

  • Identifica oportunidades de novos projetos (cross-sell e up-sell).
  • Conecta insights gerados nos projetos às demais ofertas da consultoria.
  • Prepara propostas, estimativas de escopo e apresentações comerciais.
  • Colabora com partners para expandir o portfólio dentro da conta.

O EM tem metas indiretas de crescimento da conta, mas é avaliado também pelo potencial de "expandir o impacto" — um KPI típico em consultorias.

4. Liderança e Mentoria

  • Liderar times multifuncionais, promovendo aprendizado, excelência analítica e coesão.
  • Dá coaching a consultores juniores, revisando análises e apresentações.
  • Incentiva cultura de feedback, excelência e ownership.

5. Excelência Analítica e de Comunicação

  • Transforma dados complexos em insights acionáveis.
  • Constrói narrativas executivas em formato de apresentações (deck storytelling).
  • Usa frameworks (como 7S, SWOT, matriz BCG, Porter, etc.) para embasar recomendações.
  • Apresenta resultados e propostas de alto impacto a stakeholders seniores.
