Job Mission

As ABB Motion transitions to a division-led operating model as part of the ABB Way, the Local Division Manager plays a critical leadership role. This position holds full responsibility for leading sales, P&L, marketing, and the portfolio in the local market, ensuring that the division's strategy is executed in a customer-centric and effective way.

Work model for the role: hybrid

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing the strategy and driving growth for the MOIM Division in Brazil.

As the Local Division Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Leading the country by example. Implement the Global MOIM Division and Business Lines strategies in Brazil.
  • Full accountability for Top-line and Bottom-line, including Sales, P&L, Marketing and portfolio management in Brazil, ensuring execution of MOIM divisional strategy.
  • Ensure the achievement of established operational and financial targets and definition of improvement actions as needed, in accordance with the MOIM Division Strategy.
  • Drives commercial excellence: builds and executes go-to-market strategies, defines segment approach, sets sales objectives, and ensures KPIs are delivered.
  • Optimizes cost structure and productivity, ensuring profitability, capital efficiency, and effective use of SG&A resources.
  • Leads revenue growth by acquiring new customers, increasing share of wallet, and ensuring major account development.
  • Owns portfolio strategy: develops, manages, and streamlines products, solutions, and services for sustainable growth and market leadership, in line with MOIM Business Lines Strategies.
  • Ensures effective pricing, sales and demand forecasting, and competitive analysis, aligning global strategy to local requirements with customer-centric action plans.
  • Work closely with Regional and Global Division/Business Lines teams to best utilize resources available and to generate growth opportunities for the MOIM Division in Brazil. Optimizes business on a local scale, taking advantage of the Group's local and global resources.
  • Periodically conducts business reviews with the MOIM Division Regional Sales Manager and Global teams/Business Line managers.
  • Building a high-performing, collaborative organization, fostering cross-divisional synergies while delivering customer value and business growth
  • Translating market opportunities into strategies, building value propositions that reinforce ABB's competitive position.
  • Implementing an appropriate organization to develop people and the local organization. Guides, motivates, and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies

Qualifications for the role

  • Extensive experience in Sales, running a front-end marketing and sales operation with full P&L responsibility and demonstrating a profitable growth record.
  • Strong financial acumen, with strategic P&L management experience.
  • Solid background in industrial markets, focused on electrical motors, drives and automation — with sharp business development and market insights.
  • Domain expertise on electrical motors business and market is a differential.
  • Inclusive leadership experience managing diverse, high-performing teams in complex, multicultural environments.
  • Growth mindset and entrepreneurial approach, with proactive decision-making and a focus on accountability and collaboration.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Spanish is a differential
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
