Job Title: Remote Financial Assistant (100% Work From Home) 

Location: Remote from Latin America

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $1,200 - 1,600/month base paid via bank transfer

Schedule: Monday - Friday, as closely aligned to UK business hours as possible (5-6 hrs of overlap)

The company's strategy includes scaling existing brands, launching new ones, and acquiring complementary businesses. Core growth drivers include:

• Market Expansion: Penetrating international markets, particularly in the UK, USA, Canada, and Australia.

• Diversification: Developing a portfolio that balances market risks and captures emerging opportunities.

The Finance Assistant is a pivotal role within the Finance Department, working across our multiple brands. The main goal is ensuring transactions are entered accurately and timely, which allows the Management Accountant to deliver complete and accurate Management Accounts to key business stakeholders.

Responsibilities: 
  • Accurately inputting all purchase ledger documents, expenses, and credit card transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and VAT rules at all times.
  • Posting all bank transactions every morning and completing the bank account reconciliations for weekly review by the Finance Director.
  • Posting all credit card transactions and completing the weekly credit card reconciliation for review by the Finance Manager.
  • Accurate and timely completion of supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Responsible for the creation of a weekly payment run for review by the Finance Director. This includes preparing the payment run, setting up payments ready for authorization on the bank, and sending remittance advices to all suppliers.
  • Responsible for sales ledger control, review of aged debtor balances, and credit control.
  • Completion of monthly journals as requested by the Finance Manager.
  • Monitoring the Finance mailbox, responding to all enquiries the same day or first thing the following morning at latest , and flagging urgent items to the Finance Manager.
  • Assisting with reconciliations for the Management Accounts and any other ad hoc work as requested by the Directors and Finance Manager.


Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies:   
  • At least 2 years' experience as an Finance / Accounts Assistant.
  • Experience in a fast-paced finance team dealing with multi-currency transactions.
  • Experience of reconciliation work in a business with high transaction volume
  • Attention to detail is paramount ; must be detail-orientated, organized, and conscientious. Excellent IT skills including Excel.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with individuals at varying levels within the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skill.
  • Oracle NetSuite experience advantageous though not essential as full training will be provided.
