About the position

We are seeking a talented Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in the development of our cutting-edge software solutions.

As a Backend Engineer at Singular, you will have the opportunity to work with top-notch technologies, contribute to the design and implementation of robust backend systems, and be part of a team that is driving innovation in the field of software development.

As a Backend Engineer at Singular, some of your responsibilities will be:

  • Develop enterprise applications using .NET, like RESTful Services, Minimal APIs, and Serversless functions;
  • Design, develop, and maintain database applications;
  • Communicate project status and identify technical risks;
  • Monitor and maintain application security and integrity;
  • Implement and develop best practices and architectural standards;
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies based on product needs and industry trends;
  • Provide technical support;
  • Utilize project management methodologies, mainly Scrum;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to introduce and sustain business solutions;
  • Conduct technical design reviews;
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

What we expect from you:

  • A minimum of two years of substantial software development background;
  • Proficiency in the .NET platform and C#;
  • Demonstrated experience in creating web applications using ASP.NET;
  • Good understanding of OOP (object-oriented programming) concepts;
  • Experience using LINQ;
  • Previous experience working with Agile Methodologies, specially Scrum;
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English;
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively and organizational skills - must be a team player.
